Aurelio has started with the transformation of “Koning Willemshuis” (King William House), a listed monumental building that is located at the Egelantierstraat 141 -143, in the center of Amsterdam. It was built in 1863 and was considered one of the most important buildings in the neighborhood at that time. In honor of Independency in 1813, the community center was named King William House after King William I. As a community center the building has been home to people who needed it the most, during one of the toughest periodes in Amsterdam. In this historic building at this unique location in the heart of the Jordan area (a working class neighborhood), Aurelio intends to create four very modern apartments and a luxury loft with an elevator.
